Taiwan Reference and Privacy-Aware Local View Are Separated
The site defaults to a reproducible Taiwan reference point and uses approximate local position only after explicit visitor consent.

Earth-System Observation defaults to the fixed Taiwan reference point at 23.6978° N, 120.9605° E. The research baseline does not change automatically from IP location, time zone, browser language, or VPN position.
Only after a visitor explicitly selects Local View and grants permission does the site use an approximate location for local weather. The interface shows coordinates rounded to two decimals and city/country-level information only. Precise position is not written to URLs, analytics, public visitor records, or permanent storage, and is cleared when returning to the Taiwan reference.
